Poor guy. When I spoke with him he said that he moved his car on the grass due to the flood water that would build up in the parking lot. Well, too bad that flooding was the least of his worries. This was the only brick siding in the complex that collapsed...and right on his car!
As I was going through this neighborhood I found the house below in the middle of the street.
Read the sign below and you can feel what they lost.
The house below was blown off of it's foundation and across the street.
The shot below was two three story town houses. When I was shooting this photo I thought a dog was sneaking up on me, but it was the homeowner. She and I spoke about her loss and how she thought that moving the items in her house up to the third floor would save them from flood, but she didn't know that the house would be totally destroyed. She was shifting through the rubble looking for her valuable goods.
The following are some aerial photos I shot from an airplane over some areas at 1100 ft. The blue rooftops are tarps and shows that those roofs are damaged. The second and last photo are shot of the neighborhood of the first photo on the blog.
